Mercer Wine Estates

The Mercer family has been rooted in the same Horse Heaven Hills land since 1886, tending the soil long before the region was known for wine. In 1972, Don and Linda Mercer planted the first wine grapes in the area, helping spark the transformation of the Horse Heaven Hills into one of Washington’s most celebrated AVA growing regions.

Today, Mercer Wine Estates remains proudly family-owned and operated by the fourth and fifth generations. With deep farming heritage and a commitment to sustainability, the Mercers continue to craft world-class estate wines while stewarding the land for generations to come—always striving to leave it better than they found it.
