Overview

“If you peel back the surface, there are surprises and unexpected wines being made here.”

— Foundry Vineyards

Known for many, renowned for three

At the heart of the Valley is historic downtown Walla Walla, voted Best Wine Region in the country three years in a row. Main Street is a welcoming place with world-class restaurants, boutique shops, neighborly cafés, and only the most tempting tasting rooms.

It’s also home to a rich and diverse arts scene—exemplified by public sculptures, studios, galleries, theaters, the world-renowned Walla Walla Foundry, and the longest continuously running symphony west of the Mississippi River. Also close at hand are beautiful golf courses, expansive city parks, as well as superb hiking, cycling, and skiing in the Blue Mountains, depending on what time of year you visit us. All reasons to experience this amazing appellation.

If you’ve been here, you already know what we mean. An island of grapes in a sea of wheat, as some describe the scenery. Even though you’ll be met by stunning vistas as you drive into Walla Walla, there’s more than just meets the eye, literally and figuratively: while Walla Walla has been known around the world for three varieties — Cabernet, Syrah, and Merlot — anyone who’s been here knows that Walla Walla pushes boundaries.

If you haven’t yet visited, we invite you to join us sometime in the near future. If there’s one thing we can promise — in addition to unforgettable wine — it’s the most memorable sunrises and sunsets. There’s truly nowhere like Walla Walla. Use the resources across these webpages to help guide your trip, and let us know if you can’t find what you’re looking for. We’re here to help guide you to your next favorite glass of Walla Walla wine.

“The best leaders push the person ahead of them and pull the person behind them.”
