Walla Walla Wine On Tour 2024

WHAT'S NEW IN 2024

Each year, we strive to grow and improve our offerings to both members and consumers, trade and media.  Based on survey feedback from wineries and consumers, we’re implementing the following improvements to this year’s events.

ALL MARKETS
  1. Trade hours in all markets have been extended by one hour at the request from trade and membership. New trade tasting hours are 11:30 AM – 3:00 PM.
  2. Similar to Taste Washington, participating wineries are required by the Wine Alliance’s commercial policy holder, Western National Mutual, to hold a Certificate of Insurance (COI) for each On Tour Event and list the WWVWA as an additional insured.Participating wineries must provide proof of General Coverage, including Liquor Liability insurance in an amount not less than $1,000,000, naming Walla Walla Valley Wine Alliance as additional insured for the On Tour Dates you are participating. Seattle – 1/29/24; Portland – 2/26/24; Boise – 3/3 & 3/4, 2024. SEATTLE
  1. We’re happy to launch the first-ever sales opportunity to On Tour – Seattle! Through our Non-profit Association License, we can help you sell bottles to go during the Consumer Grand Tasting.ABOUT THE BOTTLE SHOP
    • If you signed up to sell wine, please deliver your 3 cases by 9AM on event day so that we have enough time to set up prior to our morning session.
    • WWVWA will operate a Bottle Shop near registration that will be open during the consumer session from 5:30 – 7:30 PM
    • Bottles for sale will be noted in the program and on a supplemental order form, given to each guest.
    • Guests can open a ticket and add bottles throughout the event by visiting the Bottle Shop. No sales will take place at winery tables.
    • Wineries must visit the Bottle Shop when the event ends to collect their check (for bottles sold) and to collect any wine that did not sell. Wine left with WWVWA will be forfeited to the organization.
    • WWVWA will take a 20% margin from sales to cover staffing and additional costs
PORTLAND
  1. Due to space constraints, wineries will share tables in 2024, making it more comfortable for our guests.
BOISE
  1. Due to the demand from Boise consumers, we will host TWO consumer sessions in 2024.The schedule is as follows –
    Sunday, March 3, Consumer Session #1, 5:30 – 8:00 PM
    Monday, March 4, Trade Session, 11:30 AM – 3:00 PM; Consumer Session #2, 5:30 – 8:00 PM

SEATTLE BOTTLE SHOP

ABOUT THE BOTTLE SHOP

WINE SALES IN SEATTLE
Through our Non-profit Association License, we can help you sell bottles to go during the Consumer Grand Tasting. Wineries can sell 3 cases of 1 SKU For Seattle On Tour. The wine must be one that you have already signed up to pour.
Sales & Fulfillment will take place in the lobby of McCaw Hall. The Wine Alliance team, along with volunteers, will execute all sales, the wine you will have available for sale will be noted in the printed program guide along with the retail price you submit. Please provide a wholesale price as well, since this is our first year conducting sales. 
 
The Wine Alliance will deduct a flat fee from all sales. It will not be less than wholesale, and we will share that flat fee before the event with additional instructions. Payment to wineries will be made on the same day via check. Please schedule and prepare personnel accordingly since there might be a wait to obtain funds.

COMPLIANCE

Compliance needs for each city vary. Please ensure your winery fulfills the requirements each city you’re registered for.  Class 8 permits and Certificates of Insurance are due December 1 to [email protected]. Pouring permits for each city are due prior to the event.

2. The Boise Police Department requires that anyone who sells, serves, or mixes alcohol in Boise’s city limits must complete an alcohol server training course. There are four approved online courses to choose from. Certificates are good for three years.* Please send copies before the event
