The Walla Walla Way

WELCOME TO THE WALLA WALLA WAY

The heart of our wine is the beat of our people.

This year, the Walla Walla Valley turns 40 years wise. To celebrate our history, community, and future, we are thrilled to introduce this new digital gathering space — The Walla Walla Way — to showcase the heart of our wine: the people. You’ll hear directly from our winemakers and grape growers. We hope you’ll get a real sense of our wine community — the camaraderie, experimentation, and tradition — and learn why people call us the best of both worlds. Or as we like to say, The new old world of wine. We hope to see, sip, and celebrate with you soon.

FROM THE “STORY CELLAR”

If you’re newer to Walla Walla, we’ve compiled some (not so old) oldies but goodies to help give you a sense of where we’ve been and who we’re becoming. Like our wines in the cellar, our stories age well over time, too.

HOW DOES THE WALLA WALLA WAY WORK?

“The Walla Walla Way” is our new blog/storytelling hub. Here, you’ll find new posts that will give you insight, glimpses, and perspective into and about our region. At the top, you’ll find our latest posts. Just below that, you’ll see our four categories of posts — people, places, recipes, and spotlights — each of which focuses on a different aspect of the Walla Walla Wine Valley. For example, “people” showcases words from our winemakers and grape growers about Walla Walla, whereas “places” is meant to give you ideas and itineraries for exploring our different districts. And we hope you’ll have a little fun with our recipe column, which pairs Walla Walla wine with Walla Walla food. You’ll also find in-depth interviews, roundups, and even featured video episodes and films about our wine country toward the bottom of this page. Just like our wine, the stories coming out of Walla Walla are endless. We can’t wait to celebrate with you sometime soon.

CAN I SUBMIT MY OWN STORY FOR THE WALLA WALLA WAY?

You can! If you’re a (Walla Walla) wine lover, we welcome you to send us your favorite memories and moments from being in the Walla Wall Valley Wine region. The best way to engage with us, especially if you’re wanting to share a favorite picture of a moment from a wine tour trip, is on social media: we’re at @wwvalleywine on Instagram. Every once in a while, we’ll be posting a roundup of stories from visitors to our region.

A NOTE TO OUR WINERY, VINEYARD, AND PARTNER MEMBERS

If you’re one of the Walla Walla Valley Wine Alliance’s partner members — be it a winery, grower or partner — we’d love to help share your stories. Get in touch and we can figure out a way to celebrate you during our 40th Anniversary Celebration.
