The tasting rooms of the Walla Walla Valley are especially beautiful and welcoming.

Many wineries have made their homes in restored historic buildings, and others are housed in new, state-of-the-art facilities. All strive to provide a personal, thoughtful and educational visit tailored to each individual touring party. Some wineries have daily visitor hours, others can be visited with an appointment. Guests may also choose to sign up for individual winery mailings to hear about future releases and events.

You might find the following helpful when planning your visit:

• Tailor the number of visits to your pace. Some people prefer a
leisurely day of three or four visits, while others plan more.
Allow for driving time between wineries.
Call ahead if you are hoping for a tour of the winery.
Wear comfortable shoes.
Take bottled water with you.
Allow time for a lunch stop.
Tasting can be a wonderful sensory experience; don't confuse your
nose with perfume, cigarettes or chewing gum.
