The climate,
soil, and conditions of the Walla Walla Valley offer
a special location in which to grow grapes of superb quality.
Our northerly latitude provides for an extended
growing season with long sunshine filled days balanced by
cool evening temperatures, allowing grapes to develop flavor
and complexity slowly, while retaining natural acidity. Complex
soils composed of loam, silt, loess and cobbles offer perfect
drainage. Limited rainfall, due to our position east of the
Cascade Mountain range, allows growers to precisely control
moisture through careful irrigation. This combination of conditions
makes for nearly perfect grape growing conditions.
