Located in the Walla Walla Valley, Amavi Cellars is small and family owned. We are dedicated caretakers of the land who craft elegant, approachable wines. We focus on estate-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, yet we do make small amounts of other varietals including Sémillon and Rosé.
Our estate-vineyard wines begin with exceptional grapes, hand-harvested from our Les Collines, Seven Hills, and Pepper Bridge Vineyards.
Our name is a combination of the Latin root words "am" (love) and "vi" (life). It represents our simple pursuits: love, life and wine (or as we like to say: amor - vita - vinum). We pronounce it "ahh muh vee." You can be certain you are saying it the way we do if it rhymes with "momma me."
