Walla Walla Winemakers’ Fête
Celebrating hospitality, fine wine, and fare
December 4, 2008
Fête (noun): a French word meaning a festival open to the public, the proceeds from which are often given to charity.
Offered in good cheer and recognition of our Valley’s artisan wine and culinary fare, the Walla Walla Valley Wine Alliance and Carnegie Art Center kick-off Holiday Barrel Tasting weekend with our second annual Winemakers’ Fête.
Sample Walla Walla Valley wines during the opening reception as you browse and bid on very special silent auction lots including holiday gift baskets and unique large format bottles. Then dine with one of Walla Walla’s extraordinary winemakers as they host intimate tables of eight. The winemaker will personally pair his or her wines with each exquisite course of a five-course dinner prepared by Chef Bear of The Marc.
Each winery will award a special magnum to one lucky tableside guest. Seating is by chance and attendees will draw a winery’s name the night of the event to learn with which winery their group will be dining. Whether your drawing seats you in the company of one of the founding winemaker’s in Walla Walla or a rising star of the Valley, the evening will be full of wonderful food, wine and cheer.
