From 1997 through 2004, REININGER Winery was located in a small but functional facility at the historic Walla Walla Regional Airport. The “shack-teau,” as Chuck and Tracy fondly nicknamed it, was originally designated as a WWII Army Air Corp runway “crash house” and “base theater” where old time crooners and classic films entertained troops. Reininger Winery soon outgrew this humble space, and in 2004 made the move West to Hwy 12 where two quaint, rustic potato sheds were renovated into the beautifully unique winery we now call home. Chuck's appreciation to the land, and his passion to produce elegant wines true to the fruit, has made REININGER one of Washington’s top wineries.
