Christophe Baron hails from Champagne, was educated in Burgundy and first came to the Walla Walla Valley as an intern in his 20's. During a return visit in 1996, he discovered an area littered with cobblestones and the idea for a domaine focused on creating world-class wines was born.
Cayuse is the first domaine to implement biodynamic farming--a chemical-free approach designed to produce healthier soil and food. Today, Cayuse creates 11 estate wines totaling 4500 cases.
